Trevelyn Grace Campbell, Daughter of Briarwood PCA Music Director, Killed in Car Crash

Trevelyn Campbell, 19, was killed in a car crash on Friday, August 22.

Grace Campbell attended Briarwood Christian School and the Alabama School of Fine Arts. She is the daughter of Penny and Clay Campbell, who is the minister of music and worship at Briarwood Presbyterian Church in Birmingham, Ala. Campbell was a student at Samford University.


Vestavia Hills, Alabama – A Vestavia Hills teen was killed Friday night in a two-vehicle crash.

The Jefferson County Coroner’s Office identified the victim as Trevelyn G. Campbell. She was 19.

Deputy Coroner Johnny Long said the accident happened about 11 p.m. at the intersection of Altadena Road and Settlers Lane. Campbell, driving a Honda Accord, was struck broadside in the driver’s side by a Jeep when she pulled out of the intersection.

Police and rescue workers found Campbell still inside the car when they arrived at the crash site. She was pronounced dead at the scene, Long said. It wasn’t immediately clear whether there were other injuries. Those in the Jeep are believed to be high school students.
